How Profhilo Treatment Work?

Profhilo is a unique injectable treatment made from one of the highest concentrations of pure hyaluronic acid available in aesthetic medicine.

Unlike dermal fillers, Profhilo does not reshape or volumise the face. Instead, it works by stimulating the skin’s natural regenerative processes to improve overall skin quality.

Profhilo spreads beneath the skin to hydrate tissue and activate fibroblasts responsible for collagen and elastin production.

This process is known as skin bio-remodelling.

Profhilo works through a process of controlled biological stimulation.

After injection, the product spreads beneath the skin and gradually stimulates:

✔ Deep skin hydration
✔ Tissue regeneration
✔ Improved skin elasticity

This improves skin strength and firmness over time rather than producing immediate artificial change.

How is the Treatment Administered?

Profhilo treatment at Beauttitude Medical Clinic is performed following a detailed doctor-led consultation and skin assessment.

Step 1 — Medical Consultation

Your skin quality, ageing pattern and treatment goals are assessed to ensure suitability.

Step 2 — Skin Preparation

The treatment area is cleansed and prepared. Comfort measures may be used if required.

Step 3 — Precise Injection Technique (BAP Technique)

Profhilo is injected into carefully selected points using the Bio Aesthetic Points (BAP) technique. These specific injection sites allow the product to spread evenly across the skin.

Only a small number of injections are required.

Step 4 — Post-Treatment Care

Aftercare guidance and medical-grade skincare recommendations are provided to optimise results.

What are the side effects of Profhilo?

Common side-effects of Profhilo are similar to other types of fillers and include mild bruising and swelling. Risks are the same as other fillers and can include allergic reaction or infection, although these are exceptionally rare.

What are the benefits of Profhilo?

Profhilo offers improved skin quality, natural-looking results, and is a non-surgical, minimally invasive treatment with a quick recovery. Its collagen-stimulating effects lead to enhanced skin texture, hydration, and elasticity, providing a refreshed appearance without the need for surgery or extensive downtime.

Is it expected to have lumps where the Profhilo has been injected, and how long will they be there for?

Following on from Profhilo there is the chance that localised lumps can form where each of the injection sites have been. These lumps will subside usually within 4-6 hours after the treatment but they can last up to 24 hours. Not every client gets these swellings and if you have had treatment and are concerned please do give us a call.

Is the treatment safe?

Profhilo was launched in February 2015 in Italy. It’s been used worldwide ever since. Over 150,000 patients have been treated so far with no adverse reactions reported. From a safety perspective, Profhilo is highly biocompatible. That’s because it is made from ultrapure, natural Hyaluronic Acid and is stabilised without the addition of chemical cross-linking agents. This reduces the risk of adverse reactions.

Is it safe to have any treatment if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?

We do not recommend that you have any injectable treatments if you suspect or can confirm that you are pregnant. We also recommend that you have completely finished breastfeeding before returning for your aesthetic treatments.
